A New Holiday Home by Ruukin Tupa!

Originally built in 1991, this modern detached house received a complete renovation in early 2023, transforming it into a fully equipped holiday home for year-round use.

WELCOME!

Malmi holiday home is located in a stunning natural setting, in the village of Jyrkkä, Sonkajärvi, North Savo, where you can still experience all four seasons and find activities for everyone to enjoy. The grassy plot offers a wonderful view of Lake Kiltuanjärvi, and the surrounding area provides excellent opportunities for hiking, canoeing, rafting, fishing, berry picking, and hunting.

The charming and historic Jyrkän Ruukki old ironworks area is just 300 meters away, featuring a restaurant, café, museum, and summer theatre (open 1 May–30 September). The owner also offers additional services, including guided hunting, fishing, hiking, camping trips, and equipment rentals.

From the cottage, you can set off directly onto well-marked hiking trails, paddle across the lake, or even try rafting adventures. Several campfire sites are located near the cottage—perfect for spending relaxing evenings surrounded by pure nature and beautiful scenery. Whether you’re planning a short stay or a longer holiday, Malmi is the perfect choice.

Our cottages are also ideal for high-quality meetings and training events. A fast fibre-optic connection ensures flawless remote work and conference calls. And if you’d like to add a refreshing nature break to your day, the surrounding wilderness is right at your doorstep. Ruukin Tupa offers full-service meeting and training facilities with personalised service.


We provide catering and meeting services year-round.
