Miilu Cabin – Peaceful Nature in Northern Savonia

Miilu Cabin is located in the village of Jyrkkä in Sonkajärvi, on a beautiful lakeside plot overlooking Lake Kiltua.
Here you can experience all four seasons, and the area offers activities for everyone:

• hiking on well-marked trails

• canoeing and white-water rafting

• fishing, berry picking and hunting

• several campfire sites in the surrounding nature

Nearby: Historic Jyrkkä Ironworks and Local Services

Only 500 metres from the cabin is the historic Jyrkkä Ironworks area, where the following are open during the summer season (1 May–31 October):

• café and restaurant

• museum and art exhibition

• summer theatre (performances usually in June)

The owner also offers additional services such as guided fishing, hunting and nature excursions, as well as equipment rentals. A hot tub trailer is also available.

Cabin Equipment and Comfort

Miilu and Hiili cabins share the same floor plan, equipment level and furnishing.
Only the interior colours and textiles differ.

From the cabin you can easily access:

You can stay for just one night or enjoy a longer holiday – the area is suitable for both.

• Ruukin Tupa has an accessible entrance, and nearby you will find an accessible nature trail, fishing pier and campfire area.
